Trade Show Buzz Says Recruiters Increasingly Interested in Virtual Candidate Interviewing
Attendees at International Recruitment Expo Also Optimistic About Hiring Trends Ahead

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - April 14, 2010- Recruiters have become increasingly interested in virtual interviewing to save time and money as well as reduce their environmental footprint, based on the extremely high level of interest in the technology at the recent ERE 2010 Spring Expo.

“We had a great show, with an amazing amount of interest in our service,” said Greg Rokos, president and founder of GreenJobInterview.com, provider of solutions for recruiters to conduct secure, live virtual interviews without any need for travel, software or downloads.

“What was very interesting,” Rokos said, “was that so many HR managers and recruiters sought us out independently, without being solicited by us, because virtual interviewing was one of the things they wanted to learn about at the ERE show. This validates that virtual interviewing is becoming an important component of both the recruiting and the hiring processes.”

And a highly targeted campaign that GreenJobInterview.com executed leading up to the show was also extremely successful, Rokos said. The week before the expo, GreenJobInterview.com extended an invitation to top recruitment executives at the largest U.S. and global companies. The recipients were invited to visit the GreenJobInterview.com booth at the show, and the turnout had the company ecstatic. The energy created from the concept of live virtual interviews and how GreenJobInterview was transforming hiring processes within companies had surpassed anything the company had experienced at previous shows.

“As a result of the invitations we sent out, and because of the caliber and quality of the ERE show, we ended up presenting demos to a majority of the people we had invited,” Rokos said. “That’s direct, one-on-one presentations to the people directly responsible for hiring at some of the world’s largest and best-known companies.”

GreenJobInterview.com also benefited from the show when current clients presented testimonials at the GreenJobInterview.com booth. The presentations were done without scripting or interviewing by GreenJobInterview.com representatives.

For ARINC, a global company with 3,200 employees in over 80 locations, GreenJobInterview.com has become a significant part of their hiring process.

Stacy Silverthorn and Thomas McBain, both members of ARINC’s Talent Acquisition Team, told visitors at the GreenJobInterview.com ERE expo booth that their company started using live virtual interviews last year as part of an effort to cut recruiting costs, increase response time to hiring managers with jobs to fill, and get more thorough screening into the front end of the recruiting process.

That effort was rewarded, as travel time and spending were reduced significantly, while also allowing ARINC to increase offers to potential hires and get them onboard more quickly. Additionally, using GreenJobInterview.com also provided a more thorough screening process, decreasing the quantity of candidates interviewed while simultaneously increasing the quality of the final candidate slate.

GreenJobInterview.com helped ARINC meet its goals and was also well-received for its level of customer service, secure environment and environmentally friendly values, Silverthorn said.

Attendees at the major international recruitment exposition were also upbeat about the economy and believe they will see an increase in hiring later this year and certainly into 2011, Rokos said.
